HOW IT BEGAN
The Video Editor founder Steve Kosch, a former ABC and CNN anchor, discovered his mission when a firestorm (1993 Laguna Fire) destroyed over 300 of his neighbors’ homes along with their scrapbooks, photos and videos.
Feeling their pain and loss from that disaster spurred Steve with his broadcasting technical background to help save and preserve other families’ aging and fragile analog media by converting their films, photos and videotapes to a stable digital format.
Now 30 years later that mission has expanded nationally. The Video Editors’ caring staff has helped digitize memories for hundreds of thousands of customers. They no longer have to worry if a natural disaster or pesky elements (mold, moisture, heat) will destroy their family legacy. Their boxes of photos, films and videos are safely digitized and easily viewed, stored and shared.

The results of having 8mm movies converted to disc has turned out beyond expectations. The video Editor communicated every step of the way and sent the material back in a timely manner. The films I had digitized were from the time my father (now deceased) was a young man—amazing work. Don’t Hesitate!!

We have worked with The Video Editor for many years. Just recently had a special project come up – digitizing an enormous archive of video / beta / audio tapes. Steve was amazing at walking us through the process, managing our project at a reasonable rate with a quick turnaround. We would highly recommend their services! Communications LAB
