HOW IT BEGAN
Our story began in the aftermath of the devastating 1993 Laguna Fire. Founder Steve Kosch, a former ABC and CNN anchor, witnessed firsthand the loss of homes and precious memories—scrapbooks, photos, and videos—belonging to over 300 of his neighbors.

MEMORIES SAVED
Moved by their plight, Steve combined his broadcasting expertise with a deep desire to help. He set out to preserve other families’ aging and fragile analog media by converting films, photos, and videotapes into the stable digital format we enjoy today.

MISSION CONTINUES
Thirty two years later, our mission has grown nationwide. The caring team at The Video Editor has helped hundreds of thousands of customers digitize their cherished memories. Now, families can rest assured knowing their legacy is safe from natural disasters and the damaging effects of time, like mold, moisture, and heat. Those once-forgotten boxes of photos, films, and videos are now easily viewed, stored, and shared, digitally preserved for generations to come.

I will give 5 stars to The Video Editor for a few reasons:

  1. Excellent quality to digitize video tapes and negative film.
  2. The best price you can find.
  3. And this is very important: Steve Kosch did what he promised and pay attention to what I asked him. I would defensively recommend to digitize your video with this company.

The results of having 8mm movies converted to disc has turned out beyond expectations. The video Editor communicated every step of the way and sent the material back in a timely manner. The films I had digitized were from the time my father (now deceased) was a young man—amazing work. Don’t Hesitate!!

We have worked with The Video Editor for many years. Just recently had a special project come up – digitizing an enormous archive of video / beta / audio tapes.
